The Delaware Valley Green Building Council (DVGBC) is a chapter of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) and whose mission is to promote sustainable and environmentally responsible planning, design and construction in the Delaware Valley. It is a non-profit membership organization formed in 2001 and is comprised of leaders from across the building industry. The Green Home Tours are organized by the Green Residential Circle committee of the DVGBC. The Green Residential Circle seeks to identify ways the DVGBC can serve the needs of the residential sector including homeowners, builders, contractors, realtors and designers, etc. The Green Home Tours are just one of their initiatives to increase awareness around green residential buildings in our area.
